Basic |

Single Crochet Chain any number of chains. Skip the first chain and insert hook into second chain. Yarn over and pull through. Repeat until at the end of the row. *Chain one and turn to do the next row.
Double Crochet Chain 14 chains. Yarn over and insert hook in fourth chain from hook. Pull through the first two loops then yarn over again and pull through the remaining two loops. Finish row and then chain three. *Yarn over and insert hook in the second double crochet stitch. Yarn over and pull through two loops then yarn over again and pull through the next two loops.
Half Double Crochet Chain 13 chains. Yarn over and insert hook in the third chain from hook. Yarn over and pull through all three loops. Repeat until the end of the row. *Chain two and skip the first half double crochet.
Treble Crochet Chain 15 chains. Yarn over twice and insert into fifth chain from hook. Yarn over and pull through first two loops. Yarn over and pull through next two loops. Yarn over and pull through next two loops. Repeat until end of row. *Chain four and skip first treble crochet. Yarn over twice and treble crochet next row.
Star symbol (*) means to repeat row 2 until desired length.

Basketweave Stitch Chain a multiple of 8 stitches, plus 4. Row 1 (RS) Dc in 4t ch from hk and each chain across, turn. Row 2: Chain 3 (counts as double crochet), *FPdc in next 4 double crochet, BPdc in next 4 double crochet; repeat from * turning chain, double crochet in top of turning chain, turn. Row 3: Chain 3 (counts as double crochet) *BPdc next 4 double crochet, FPdc next 4 double crochet; repeat from * across to turning chain, double crochet in top of turning chain, turn. Rows 4 and 5: Repeat rows 2 and 3 once. Row 6: Cain 3 (Counts as double crochet), *BPdc in next 4 double crochet, FPdc next 4 double crochet; repeat from * across to turning chain, double crochet top of turning chain, turn. Row 7: Chain 3 (counts as double crochet), *FPdc next 4 double crocet, BPdc next 4 double crochet; repeat from * across to turning chain, double crochet in top of turning chain. Crunchy Stitch Chain an even number of stitches. Row 1 (RS): Slip stitch in 2nd chain from hook, *half double crochet in next chain, slip stitch in next chain; repeat from * across, turn. Row 2: Chain 2, *slip stitch in next half double crochet, half double crochet in next slip stitch; repeat from * across, turn. Row 3: *Slip stitch in half double crochet, half double crochet in next slip stitch; repeat from * across to turning chain, slip stitch in top of turning chain, turn. repeat rows 2 and 3 to desired length.
Arruga Stitch Chain an even number of stitches. Row 1 (RS): Double crochet in 4th chain from hook and each chain across, turn. Row 2: Chain 1, single crochet in 1st double crochet, *BPsc in next single crochet, BPsc in next single crochet; repeat from * across, single crochet in top of turning chain, turn. Row 3. Chain 3 (counts as double crochet), double crochet in each single crochet across, turn. Row 4: Chain 1, single crochet in first double crochet, *FPsc in next single crochet, BPsc in next single crochet; repeat from * across, single in top of turning chain, turn. Row 5: Chain 3 (counts as double crochet), double crochet in each single crochet across, turn. Repeat rows 2-5 to desired length.

Bobble Stitch Chain an even number of chains. Row 1: Single crochet across. Row 2: Chain 3 (Counts as double crochet), double crochet across to turning chain, double crochet top of turning chain, turn. Chain 3, yarn over and insert stitch in the same stitch as the slip stitch. Yarn over and pull through and do this once more to leave one more loop of the double crochet on the same hook. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops so that there are now 3 loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through all three loops, making sure that every time you insert your hook, it's in the same stitch. *Chain 2, yarn over and insert into next double crochet. Yarn over and pull up a loop. Yarn over and pull through two loops, leaving one loops of the double crochet on the hook and 2 in total. Yarn over and insert hook in the same stitch. Yarn over and pull through a loop, leaving 4 loops on the hook now. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops (Now there will be three loops on the hook). Yarn over and insert hook in the same stitch, leaving 5 loops on the hook. Yarn over and pull through two loops, leaving 4 loops on the hook. Yarn over and pull through the remaining 4 loops. To finish row, repeat from * and repeat row 2 for desired length.
Reverse Single Crochet/Crab Stitch Chain any number of stitches. Row 1: Insert hook in the next stitch to the right from front to back with the right side of your work facing you. Yarn over and pull through stitch. This will look familiar to the regular single crochet, but it will be backwards. Yarn over and pull through the two loops on the hook. Repeat this stitch until the end of the row. Chain 1 and repeat row 1. if you are left handed, simply do the opposite.
Front Post Complete the stitch around the post of the indicated stitch (like double crochet) by inserting the hook from front to back to front around the post.
Back Post Complete the stitch around the post of the indicated stitch (like double crochet) by inserting the hook from back to front to back of the post.
Shell Stitches |
Iced Shell Chain a multiple of 3 plus 2. Row 1 (RS): Single crochet in second chain from hook, *Chain 3, skip 2 chains, single crochet in next chain; repeat from *, turn. Row 2: Chain 3 (Counts as double crochet), double crochet in first single crochet, *single crochet in next chain 3 spaces, 3 double crochet in next single crochet; repeat from * across to last chain 3 spaces, single crochet in last chain 3 spaces, 2 double crochet in last single crochet, turn. Row 3: Chain 1, single crochet in 1st double crochet, *chain 3, skip next 3 stitches, single crochet in next double crochet; repeat from * across, single in top of turning chain, turn. Repeat rows 2 and 3 until desired length.
